Position Title: Grants Coordinator
Location: Clark County Community and Economic Development,
3130 E. Main St., Suite A, Springfield, Ohio
Supervisor: Community and Economic Development Director
Hourly Pay Rate: $50,252.80 – $63,876.80 (commensurate with experience)
+ 3.5% increase after successful probation
Classification: Permanent • Full-time • Classified • Non-Exempt

Summary of Duties:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Conducts planning analysis and evaluation; compiles and presents data; qualifies areas through census information or surveys for grant projects; professional observations and recommendations through various communication mediums including reports, maps charts, tables, graphs, photos and presentations.

Seeks out new sources of funding including government and private grants; summarizes and presents for approval; mobilizes stakeholders for support; compiles information/data submits development related grant applications on behalf of the County.

Plans, organizes, and coordinates daily operations and activities of various planning projects; administer grant programs as appropriate; qualifies applicants for grant assistance using prescribed metrics.

Educates residents on Fair Housing and discrimination issues at a variety of venues within the county.

Develops and coordinates grant projects; solicits bidders for a variety of grant projects.

Plans, coordinates, and conducts public hearings, meetings, presentations, or other oral reporting of plans, results or analysis; distributes public materials and publishes public notices in a timely manner.

Communicates with employees, city departments, inspectors, utility representatives, local community groups, political leaders, non-profits, and organizations at the local, state and federal level as directed.

Processes a variety of documentation associated with departmental operations, per established procedures and within designated timeframes; receives and reviews various forms, correspondence, reports, drawings, charts, maps, bills, plans, applications, and other documents; prepares/completes various documents including budget tracking spreadsheets, time logs, bid packets, payroll spreadsheets, federal reports including program evaluations, grant applications and responses, and related documentation; forwards/submits to appropriate department/individual; maintains file system of departmental records.

Maintains a comprehensive, current knowledge and awareness of applicable laws/regulations; maintains an awareness of new trends and advances in the profession; reads professional literature; reads and reviews HUD regulations, policies and other HUD generated materials; maintains professional affiliations; attends workshops and training sessions as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public, Planning or closely related field; supplemented by one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in government or grants administration; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license and required insurance coverage.
Regular and reliable attendance required.
