Congratulations to HUD's Anthony F. Forte

Congratulations to Anthony F. Forte` on his new role as Columbus Field Office Director in HUD’s Office of Field Policy and Management. On February 14, 2022 he will assume the duties of leading Columbus Field Office operations.

Mr. Forte` most recently served as a Program Manager for the HUD Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD), which annually administers over $350 million to approximately 150 grantees statewide. Previously, he served as a senior HUD CPD representative working with local grantees and nonprofits. Prior to joining HUD, Mr. Forte` served as the director of the Franklin County (Ohio) Department of Community and Economic Development, economic development manager for the City of Wheeling, West Virginia, and community development officer for the Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Regional Planning Commission, where he created, managed and directed community, economic, and housing development initiatives.

Mr. Forte` holds a Bachelors of Art degree from Ohio University, has completed undergraduate and graduate classes in public administration and political science, and holds numerous professional credentials in economic development finance, professional and housing development finance and is a certified HOME and HEARTH Act subject matter expert.

For over a decade, Mr. Forte` has served as board President of four Drop Out Prevention and Recovery high schools in Ohio, was President of the Mentoring Center of Central Ohio, and is a member of the Columbus Alumni Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He and his wife of 33years, Karen reside in Columbus and have three grown children.
