Dear Community Ohio Development Partner:
We are reaching out to share an important initiative and introduce the Ohio CDBG Coalition, which has been formally established in response to the urgent threat of funding cuts to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Our coalition brings together local organizations, municipalities, and advocacy groups to amplify our collective voice, ensuring that elected officials, community leaders, the media, and Ohio’s citizens understand the critical role of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in supporting our communities.
Programs and construction projects across Ohio depend on CDBG and other HUD resources to provide essential services, support economic growth, and address our state’s ongoing housing crisis. As we work to protect and strengthen federal funding, we invite your participation and support in our advocacy efforts.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
The Ohio CDBG Coalition humbly asks for your assistance and support as we begin to execute this mission. Please use this form to communicate the work of your organization funded in part or wholly with funding originating at HUD. Please complete the form by Friday March 7th.
We encourage you to forward this email and survey to any additional groups that share our commitment to community and economic development. Your participation is crucial in ensuring that we present a unified and compelling message about the challenges and potential funding cuts that affect our communities. We are confident that, through our collaborative efforts, we can enhance our advocacy and make a measurable difference in the state of Ohio.
