About the Housing Ohio Conference

What Does Registration Include?
Housing Ohio 2024 is an in-person event spanning three days. The main conference on Tuesday and Wednesday includes plenary sessions, multiple breakout workshop sessions, breakfast, lunch, and the Tuesday evening reception. Thursday’s Housing Institute offers several full-day sessions. You can register for all three days or pick whichever day you like. Conference sessions are eligible for Social Work Continuing Education Units.

Who Should Attend?
Housing and homeless advocates, social workers, policymakers and government officials, housing developers and providers, community development officers, fair housing advocates, people with lived experience, mental health and substance abuse experts, attorneys, and anyone else concerned with access to decent, safe and affordable housing and services for low-income people.

Hotel Accommodations
The Hyatt Regency Columbus Hotel, located in Columbus’s vibrant Short North neighborhood, is offering discounted rooms to our attendees starting at $165/night. Conference participants are responsible for making their own reservations by using the Hyatt’s COHHIO Rate Page or calling the hotel at 614-463-1234. (Be sure to tell the hotel operator you are part of the COHHIO conference.) The deadline to reserve discounted hotel rooms is April 8. There are a limited number of rooms available, so please book your room early.

Directions and Parking
The Hyatt Regency Hotel is adjacent to the Greater Columbus Convention Center just north of downtown at 350 North High Street Columbus, Ohio, 43215. Valet parking is available at the hotel, with off-site self-parking just one block south at the Chestnut Street Garage, accessible via enclosed walkway. Continuing Education Units
COHHIO can provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Social Workers only. Certificates will be distributed following the conference via email within 45 days. Conference attendees must complete the online CEU conference evaluation form in order to receive CEUs.

Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships will be available to people with lived experience and those who demonstrate a financial burden and would not otherwise be able to attend the conference. Scholarships are limited to one per organization. Submit your written request via email to: douglas.argue@cohhio.org. Written requests should indicate your agency, an explanation of the financial burden, and how you plan to use the information you learn to support your local community. The deadline to apply is April 26. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
