Responsibilities
As a Director, CPD Field, you will:
  • Oversee the effective management of a grant portfolio, CPD formula and competitive programs which includes large metropolitan areas and significant financial investments, ensuring the timely processing of grant applications, contract execution, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as HUD guidelines.
  • In collaboration with the CPD Directors within the regional jurisdiction, initiates and oversees research and data analysis of controversial issues, trends or the identification of a commonality of community needs to be addressed which may impact the entire regional jurisdiction or a local community. Such analysis may result in development and delivery of comprehensive technical assistance to grantees and other stakeholder organizations.
  • Supervise and oversee work that require exceptional coordination and integration of a number of very important and complex programs of professional, technical, managerial and complex administrative work comparable to GS-13 level or higher.
  • Plan, establish and execute procedures for optimum productivity and goal attainment through efficiently organizing the workforce and managing resources, assigning workload, exercising a full range of human capital management authority and administering resources within prescribed budgets to carry out and achieve goals identified in CPD and Departmental Management Plans.

Travel Required

25% or less - Travel may be 1-5 days per month.
