The bid specification development tool highlights environmental issues and concerns that may arise in connection with a demolition project, particularly those concerns that can be factored into the demolition contracting process.

Ohio Vacant Facilities Fund provides grants for job growth

The Ohio Development Services Agency has launched the $2 million Ohio Vacant Facilities Fund (OVFF), which provides grants to businesses creating new jobs in vacant and underutilized commercial buildings and business parks. The goal of the OVFF is to encourage companies to reuse existing buildings and infrastructure, thereby leveraging new private investment and payroll within existing communities.

Executive Director Greg DiDonato recently announced the promotion of Jeannette Wierzbicki, P.E. to Assistant Executive Director. Wierzbicki, a registered Professional Engineer, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University. In addition to her responsibilities as the Assistant Executive Director, she will also serve as the Transportation/Grants Manager and directly supervise two new staff members. She and her husband, Bruce, reside in Senecaville.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development today announced a series of restructuring and systemic changes within its Office of Multifamily Housing Programs and the Office of Field Policy and Management (FPM). The changes, which include consolidating Multifamily hubs nationwide and closing 16 smaller offices, affect approximately 900 of the Departments’ 9,000 employees.
