POSITION/TITLE: Community Development Grant Administrator

Definition: The Stark County Regional Planning Commission is accepting applications for Community Development Grant Administrator. This is a professional position in the Community Development Department responsible for administration, implementation and management of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grants, including but not limited to Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program.
This position will assist in the monitoring of CDBG and HOME grants for compliance with federal regulations; establish standards and deadlines for proposals, reviews proposals, and integrates elements of the comprehensive planning process in the improvement of a community development strategy; setup project activities in HUD’s Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS) and maintain project files; reviews draw requests to ensure eligibility as defined by funding source and consistency with program budgets; prepares planning documents such as the Annual Action Plan and Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER); organize public workshops and meetings to inform the public of available funding and program plans.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban/regional planning, public administration or related field. A minimum of three to five years of experience in public grant administration or community development in HUD related programs required. An equivalent level of professional planning experience may be substituted for coursework.
Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000
