All applicants must be United States citizens or have a valid permanent resident card. Applicants must include a valid driver's license with their application. Applicants for the position of Director of Building, Housing & Planning must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies or related field; a Master's degree in Urban Studies or related field preferred; Five to eight years of progressively responsible work experience in governmental community development, housing or building inspection; Two to five years of supervisory experience; Three years experience in public sector fiscal and budget preparation; knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements as they pertain to Housing, Planning and Zoning.
