REGIONAL PLANNERS

Stark County Regional Planning Commission is accepting applications for multiple open positions as Regional Planners.  Areas of specialty include comprehensive/land use planning, transportation planning and community development.  The successful candidates will prepare planning studies and technical reports in major work elements in various planning fields, including comprehensive and planning administration, land bank planning and administration, and Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) transportation planning.  Attend and present at various public meetings.  Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.  A working knowledge of GIS is required, and use of social media for public involvement is desired.  The job descriptions for the open Planner positions can be found at:

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two (2) years professional experience in a planning related field in urban/regional planning, or a master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban/regional planning or closely related field.  Salary Range:  $40,000-$50,000.
