Development is seeking a Community Development Analyst to monitor grantees for compliance on reporting for several of our environmental programs, including Brownfield Remediation, Building Demolition and Site Revitalization, and Water and Wastewater Infrastructure and other programs. This person will help process grant applications, serve as the main contact for these programs when it comes to reporting and compliance, etc. The position will occasionally require travel to project sites, for monitoring, in certain instances.

Other duties will include:
• Serving as a member of the Grant Application Review Team to evaluate proposals, assist in curing applications and making recommendations for approval.
• Assessing compliance with grant agreements, applicable state and federal laws (e.g., Ohio Revised Code, Code of Federal Regulations, Ohio Development of Development [ODOD]/OEE policies and procedures) and writing reports regarding performance & compliance/non-compliance.
• Detailing corrective action steps for implementation by grantee and providing guidance to grantees to ensure corrective compliance steps are adhered to.
• Providing assistance on administrative topics to grantees, local government officials, grant administrators, other state agencies & other interested parties.

Minimum Classification Qualifications (a test may be given as part of the selection process):
Completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, public administration, city and regional planning, sociology, social services or political science; 12 months experience in planning, developing and/or implementing community and/or economic development programs. Must be able to provide own transportation.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires travel.
