Development is seeking three Residential Revitalization Specialists who will provide administration and compliance for community-based projects. Reviewing applications, recommend for consideration of funding, assist on policy development and provide technical assistance to housing grantees.

What You'll Do:
• Travels throughout state of Ohio to monitor grantees & community-based projects through on-site visits: reviews scope of work & project specifications & ensures completion; inspects homes’ quality of workmanship & compliance with appropriate building codes & standards (e.g., Residential Rehabilitation Standards,
International Property Maintenance Code & the Residential Code of Ohio)
• Knowledge of Lead Based Paint regulations; state and federal
• Requires thorough knowledge of federally funded housing grant programs and regulations, including but not limited to HOME, CDBG, and ARPA
• Handles client concerns regarding program participation and work completed. Discusses project with homeowner to learn & address any unresolved issues; includes site visits to record any work/construction deficiencies; develops a plan of action to address deficiencies.

Minimum Classification Qualifications:
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration/public administration, urban planning or political
science; 24 months training or 24 months experience in housing and/or homeless grant programs or real estate sales.

-Or 48 months training or 48 months experience in planning, developing and/or implementing housing and/or homeless
grant programs or real estate sales.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal
convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An individual assessment of an applicant’s prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
